1 cup walnuts (or use any other nut you prefer)
1 cup coconut, shredded or pieces
1/3 cup raw cacao powder
dash of sea salt
1/4 cup real maple syrup (or honey, if you are non-vegan)
15-18 dates, softened
Soak the dates in the maple syrup. If they are harder, they could be soaked in water, then drained before using. Chop nuts and coconut in food processor. Add cacao and salt and mix. Add syrup and dates to the dry ingredients mixture and combine well. You may need to add water for consistency. Dough is ready to make into bites when it sticks together (stop the processor periodically to check). Shape into one inch bites or roll out and use small cookie cutters for fun shapes.
